Spotlighting the work and achievements of the trailblazing Society of Black Composers (1968-1973); the first organization of its kind to promote Black composers in NYC. Featuring music by Olly Wilson, Frederick Tillis, Dorothy Rudd Moore, Adolphus Hailstork and others.

The Black NY Avant-Garde
The music and legacies of NY-based distruptors Julius Eastman, Undine Smith Moore and Talib Rasul Hakim.

Contemporary Black Women Composers
Celebrating today’s mavericks; featuring Mary D. Watkins, Pamela Z, Regina Harris Baiocchi, Nkeiru Okoye and others.

George Walker: Spektra
A deep dive into Walker’s incredibly diverse piano ouevre, from his Sonatas to rarely performed gems including Guido’s Hand and Spektra.
